It be the end of an era.
Jul. 8th, 2004 08:49 pmDan Drazen quit.
Allow me to repeat that again.
Dan Drazen quit.
Why is this so amazingly amazing? Dan has been one of the most vocal fans in the Sonic fandom for years, mostly hanging around the SatAm and Archie end. He's a pretty good fanfic writer, but is mostly known for his reviews of the comics. He's been writing these things since very early on in the series.
Was Dan a little too vocal over a 53 year-old Sonic fan? Probably, but it was one of those things that has seemingly always been there. Every month you'd get a new review and a chance to laugh at what this month's discourse was. Judging from his last review, it's his ego. XD
But now Dan has left us for greener fandoms. Too bad, so sad, don't let the door hit you on the way out.
---
On a lighter Sonic note, if you're seeking a way to waste an evening, go to Google Groups and dig up the MiSTing of Chaos Race. It's an oldie - the fic was written in 1996, the MiST in 1998 - but it will probably remain one of my favorite MiSTings of all time.
>Then everything went black.
CROW: Oop, animators ran out of money.
MIKE: Well I guess *that* plan didn't work
