Send it by demo... or somethin'.
Mar. 2nd, 2004 05:57 pmYesterday I finally got my hands on a copy of the Maniac Mansion demo that's been floating around. Sadly, it was from the second version of the game, so SCUMMVM didn't support everything. I was able to see the backgrounds and speech, but no character sprites.
You really don't need the character sprites to figure out what was going on if you already know the plot of the game, like little fangirly me. Otherwise, you'll get lost very easily. :-/
If you're a fan, you NEED to find a copy of the demo. Althought you only watch it and don't play it, the small plot is set after the game. It's pretty amusing and made me laugh. It's also a little strange and surreal, but if you're a Maniac Mansion fan, you should be used to that already.
Plus the demo kinda includes a new character to the series. Well, sorta. It depends on how you look at it.
