It actually DID end after the second series, though. The ending was stupidly upbeat, all things considered, but it did end in the sense that there wasn't a need for the time loop anymore. o.O
Someone leaked the whole episode untranslated onto Nico Nico. From what I can gather, it's not really set at any point during the series. Hanyuu is there in spirit here and everyone is on good terms with Takano, but Takano at one point whips out a walkie talkie at one point to bark out orders to her lackies.
At the same time, I mean, the plot APPEARS to be that everyone is at a water park and trying to get Keiichi out of his swimsuit.... so I don't think it's meant to be taken seriously...
