Fuzzy pic of front!

Side of house.

Don't ask how I got this.

Looking down the street.

Pumping station at the park. Retro look!

View of the shore from the park.

Looking out from the park.

Fourth and Lakeshore

More streets. Very quaint.

The remains of the second pumping station, down the shore. The pressure here is HIGH.

More streets. It's stereotypical suburbs.

Pond just inside the park. Not the lack of buildings in the background.

What the shore looks like up close.

BOATS. From the yacht club.

Deeper in the park, you find the college. It's very empty and cold

And kinda freaky if you think of it in the context of what it would be used as in the AMU.

Old power plant. Now a rec centre.

Dorm... things...

Date: 2008-07-16 05:59 am (UTC)There's a few more pics, mostly of signs and crap. There's one sign explaining the history of the second station, including the dates of closure and removal.
OT: I was going to respond do your "Do you worst!" with Enrico in a mariachi outfit, but my WoW server crashed, so no dice.

Date: 2008-07-16 02:35 pm (UTC)What's freaky is there's still a BI-WAY down there. Mimico is so the area time forgot. That said, I can't imagine living there despite all of the apartment buildings along the lake as it's more suited to car owners. I saw just one grocery store on the way over. There's also not many interesting places to go out and eat. :P

Date: 2008-07-16 02:39 pm (UTC)I don't think that the pics on Google-Earth are super old. They do look like they where taken in winter/early spring and everything looks really brown.
