I'm so burnt out on WoW at the moment. I have been poking around on the canon side.

Looks like someone datamined the Kil'jaeden encounter:

HUGE spoilers in the Quotes section.

Now, I never really read the Sunwell comics, 'cause Anveena annoys me. So, I'm lost as to what's going on there. I thought that Kalecgos had a different love interest.

Also, odd thoughts:
Draenei do not have last names in canon. They use a series of titles to tell each other apart and to identify their role in society. Most of these titles come before, like "Vindicator", "Anchorite" or "Technician". A select few have titles that follow the name. The ones that stand out are those like Velen, who has the full name is Prophet Velen the Divine.

Why is this nifty? It appears to be a hangover from the former Eredar culture. The Naaru, who's culture the Draenei adapted to, do not have a titling system. However, the current Eredar known in canon do use a system that's identical to the Draenei. It appears to have also leaked into the Burning Legion.

Kil'jaeden and Archimonde both have titles like Velen's; Kil'jaeden the Deceiver and Archimonde the Defiler. We don't know where those two picked up those titles, if they gave them to themselves or if they're derogatory titles given to them by the Draenei. Other high ranking Eredar have titles of both kinds as well: Grand Warlock Alythess, Deathbringer Jovaan, Levixus the Soul Caller.

Demons high in the Legion's ranks have these titles as well: Kazzak the Supreme, Mannoroth the Destructor, Tichondrius the Darkener.

(Now it should be noted that Sargeras has a title too and the rest of the Titans have a system as well, so I'm really not sure that the Legion is taking after Eredar or Titans. We don't even know if Eredar or Titans even communicated and if their systems are linked. And then there's the whole matter of people like Illidan having a title, but that's clearly a derogatory title tossed onto him by pissed elves. Illidan also has a last name. Also, if all major Draenei have titles, why doesn't Akama have one?)

(It's a flawed theory, in any case)

Kalec was engaged to Tyri but through the story, the both of them develop love interests in Anveena and Jorel respectively. I love how you can see all the characters in game. XD Totally unexpected.

The Sunwell Trilogy is actually really good! I enjoyed it quite a bit and I'm looking forward to the sequel that's supposed to come out next year. It features Tyri and Jorel, who I'm more interested in anyway. XD

I avoided the Sunwell Trilogy because I can't stand Richard A. Knaak's writing. He wrote Day of the Dragon and that was like... pain times 1000. I sorta like some of the characters he's added to canon (like Ysera) but some of them are just plain annoying.

So, the Sunwell seqel is NEXT YEAR? Uh, WTF? IIRC, it's supposed to be set between TBC and WotLK and explain what Tyri was doing in the questline Securing the Celestial Ridge. The chain ends with a HUGE cliffhanger that's going to be answered fully in WotLK. ._. Maybe they don't want to spoil it?

Also, check out the Kalecgos fight from the Sunwell. He's the first boss in the raid, so there's LOTS of fight videos and info around.

He uses a unique half-elf model that looks REALLY nice and I THINK a unique dragon model. I can't wait until 2.4 goes live. There's no way I can do Sunwell (the highest I've been in and killed things is Serpentshrine Cavern), but he appears as a NPC in Magisters' Terrace.
