Yeah, so. I found the house that the TV version of Maniac Mansion was supposed to be set at.

This is the house I saw today:

This is the Edison's house from the show:

Note the tree that's on the left and shaped like a "Y". It's the same in both pictures.

I found it on accident - I had the camera with me to take pictures of the local area. It's down in Forest Hill, about a block or two away from Casa Loma.

It's debatable if anyone would care either, since the TV show was weak compared to the game. But, there it is, anyway.

OMG, I loved Maniac Mansion. Great show. Amazing what they could accomplish with what was essentially a single set.

So the walls and pillars were props, I guess. Very cool.

I'm a loser that actually prefers the video game version of the storyline. I mean, the show's alright and it's great if you look at it as a SCTV spinoff, but it's a case of the final spinoff is completely removed from the source material, mostly because the source material doesn't have enough, uh, material to support a TV show.

And, well, I liked the source material, but I guess I can be happy in that the TV show was worked into the game canon. :)

I don't know if the walls and pillars are props. There's about a 15 year difference in the pictures and it appears that there's been some other renovations done. They could have just been pulled out.
