Nov. 22nd, 2007 12:31 pmHappy Turkey Day!
... to everyone stateside. Here, we're sitting in the middle of a snowstorm, with no work coming in from the US and a grime outlook for the commute home (I am grateful for clear rail lines... if anyone at CN is listening). Curse you Americans and your later Thanksgiving! I wanna watch the Macy parade. :(
I know I've been slacking on commenting, meme updates and the such, but I've been really, really sick this past week. It's like the 24 flu, but it's been around since Sunday. I can eat select things that don't make me pukey, but everything else is a death sentence. Right now the "can eat" list is...
- Food from the Old Spaghetti Factory, so, simple soup and pasta (and I have no idea why this is, other than the portions are small and the food on the tame side)
- The fish dish from the Toronto Star staff cafeteria (again, edible but not remarkable, small portions. Lots of rice.)
- Peanut Butter M&Ms (I've got nothing in this case)
And this is limited to one meal a day. Any more makes me bloated, queasy and generally running to the bathroom every five minutes. Any less and I get the hungry pangs from Hell. There's this blissful happy middle ground I try to aim for.
Oh, and drinking Gatorade? Actually does work well. I can't imagine that it's good in large amounts because of the huge amounts of sugar, which is why I never touch the stuff usually, but it does help right now.
