Yays for apartment hunting!

teddogThrough the search for an apartment, I have discovered places with strange quirks, scumholes, people that ask for emails and never reply and the ever dreaded "We had a place... but we just rented it".
After all THAT, I think I finally have a place. I'm set to drop off the pile (and heaven help me, it is a mountain) of forms and reference letters that I need, along with my deposit check, and I SHOULD get an apartment. Move-in date is December 1st. I'm going to be back in midtown Toronto. It's a bit of a trade off - yeah, it breeds yuppies-who-want-to-be-"hipsters" but my yuppie aunt and uncle couldn't stand it, which is good enough for me. There's nearby grocery stores, library branches, a bank branch, a walk-in clinic, major TTC routes, can not complain. I think there's a speciality tea shop too. More scouting is needed.
This leaves me two months to get my act in gear, but also two more months to keep saving for the startup costs. Hey! An excuse to spend money!
The apartment is a bachelor in an older, but well kept and EXTREMELY quiet building. It's a corner apartment, so there's lots of windows and I'm right by an exit. Cannot complain at all.
Free food tonight! Helping host an event the Toronto Maple Leafs, so FREE FOOD, yes. My job is crossing off names from stats sheets. Buuuut that means I'm missing a Gruul's raid too. Sorries. :(
