There's rumours that the copy of the last Harry Potter novel floating around online are fake.

I can confirm this. My sources have secured an actual copy of the book. A quick summary

---

The search for the horcruxes has dried up, until Harry gets an message by owl from a mysterious agency that is above the Ministry of Magic. The woman, named "Jo" is from the Interzone Incorporated organization, a group that monitors the space between the magical world and the Muggle world, a strange middle-of-earth culture that uses its unique position to attempt to balance the two worlds.

Given the sensitivity of her position, Jo asks Harry to travel to America, where the two pile into a red Chevrolet Impala and travel across the country to Las Vegas, a place of great spiritual power that allows the worlds to blend seamlessly.

However, along the way, the Impala suffers a major breakdown when they are driven off the road by an overly large truck - Harry comments that it's a mega weapon created by Lord Voldemort combining Muggle technology with magic. The two are forced to seek shelter at a isolated Valley Lodge hotel.

Once they get there, it gets pretty surreal, like every page is like the last one you'll see the characters on. Eventually, the main storyline just ends, with the epilogue detailing Ginny and Hermione tracing Harry's steps across America. They eventually find him at the Valley Lodge, where he's taken up a caretaking job. As for Jo, with the novel over, she's disappeared into the shadows.

Heehee. Look, I'm sick and easily amuse myself. To steal a MST3K quote: "There's about 8 different movies being shot here!"

Roughly in order: William S. Burroughs, J. R. R. Tolkien, Hunter S. Thompson, Neil Gaiman, Warrior of the Lost World (MST3K) and Manos: The Hands of Fate (also MST3K).

I'd buy it.
