Not completely left field at all... FUNimation is the company that actually does most of 4kids' official, subtitled, uncut DVD releases. :3 So most of us were expecting them to make an announcement about the series at some point.

Still, that's great news! It means we might actually see uncut One Piece DVDs here soon. <3<3<3<3

Yes, but 4Kids stopped FUNimation's uncut DVD releases a lot time ago. I don't remember the exact details off the top of my head, but I thought the discs bombed or something.

What shocked me is that I thought 4Kids was going to sit on the license and do nothing with it after they canceled the show. FUNi and 4Kids did have past relations before, but I'm very curious to see the paperwork that went down here. For example, did Toei pull the license from 4Kids and shop it around or did FUNi talk directly to 4Kids?
