I need to write here more often...
Apr. 12th, 2007 09:36 amBah. Stupid work.
So, yeah, the TVOntario mailing list I was a member of is flooded with spam, so I'm building a new one.
Not much to say about life, really. Someone finally checked my ticket on a Go Train - due to staffing issues, ticketing isn't really inforced much. On the flip side, my train home last night started smoking at Oakville and I made it home later than normal.
Oh! There were some massive spoiler bombs in fandom, though. Off the top of my head...
- The true identity of one of the last big mystery characters in Full Metal Alchemist was revealed. You know, had this been the anime and not the manga, there would have been threads everywhere. Instead, we have people wanking... and then they go back to posting fanfic porn. I dunno. The hints WERE there, it's just very few people put them together. Heck, the person in question wasn't even on the top of my list.
- The ROM for Phoenix Wright-Only-Without-Much-Phoenix-Wright 4 was leaked and there's spoilers abound. Most interesting of note is that there's... apparently a jury in the last case. There's a WTF for you - I wonder what brought that on. Still don't like the Garyuus, but I'll give the game creators kudos for doing what they did in this new game. Poor Phoenix. :[
- Large WoW content patch, ahoy! And of course, there's wank there too. TONS of it. I'm not complaining, 'cause we're getting more Consortium crap and they appear to be my group-to-follow-in-a-fangirl-way thing at the moment.
Barf. My sinuses are killing me, there's like work to do, I'm the only one in the office and the weather looks like crap. I really want some carbs right now or food in general. Might run out to Second Cup for rooibos and baked goods. Stupid lack of nearby Tim Hortons.

Date: 2007-04-12 03:17 pm (UTC)BTW, have you ever heard of this place out in Ottawa called "The WORKS Gourmet Burger Bistro"? I was setting up a contest for Team 1200 and and had to research it because they're providing prizes. After seeing the website, I'm pretty curious if it's as wacky as it seems.

Date: 2007-04-12 03:26 pm (UTC)The wacky bit is the accessories: a tower of onion rings as an appetizer (on a short pole!) and coffee served in measuring glasses instead of mugs.
It was fun and the food was good. It's just not cheap...
You were setting up a contest for the Team 1200? You got me curious on this. I used to listen to the station more but I found it got a smidgen irritating with their various radio personalities...and their golf coverage, but that's probably just me. I hate golf.

But, yeah. I did work for the Team 1200 earlier this week - we're running their hockey playoff game. It's all done online, though, so I'm still based out of Toronto.
