10 ADV titles for $50 US. Which would be just short of $60 CDN. With free shipping to Canada, although there's probably a customs fee.

I want to get most of Kino through this, but there's only three discs. Therefore, I need seven more DVDs. There's a few things I COULD try, but I wanted to leave this open incase someone wants to do a group order.

There's some live action Asian movies in there and I know Jen likes those, for example and she has money. With this, I'm going the "money is not a issue right now" route.

And before someone chews on me, I have been placing distance inbetween a lot of anime and me buuuuut I still really like Kino. It's cute. So :P to you.

Oh remind me to show you PW chibis when you get home. Since I know your not a part of the communities. The gen ones that is I don't think you want to see the slashy ones, although there are femslash ones. :P

Work is slow. XP They're easing me into it.

I might pick up some of the platinum Eva discs. It's one of those things where disc is just really well put together and I enjoyed the series, even if you didn't. I think they have 1 2,4 and 7. I'm so going for the Eva and Kino first volumes with the art boxes. :)

Still, this is such a good deal that I want to leave it open if you guys want something. It's, what? About $7 CDN for each disc?

I did this once, through one of ADV's sales on their site... spent $40 and got a shitload of DVDs (at least 6 of them)... and I ended up paying at least the same amount from customs. :P So it wasn't cheap at all. I'd be really careful, if I were you... you could end up paying $100 instead of $50.

I've been trying to read up on this during downtime and I'm still baffled somewhat about the custom fees.

Kate got burned on manga a few years back and paid... I think it was $25 in customs for $50 dollars in manga. There's a post over at Anime On DVD that says it's now taxes plus a $6 handling fee on everything coming it. So, it would be about $75 CDN instead of $60. Of course, that's if they use the amount on the bill and not whatever they think it's worth.

What gets me is that I know I've ordered from the states before and had no customs fees. The system is so messed up. >_

Either way I wish there was tad more of a selection however I was tempted by the Steel Angel though.
