I got a callback for a web content management job I applied for just this morning! It's an 8-12 month contract position in Oakvile, but it's WORK. Which means money for OSAP payments and that I can finally sleep at night.
They called to ask about my salary expectations and to ask when I can start working. Right now, I'm waiting on an interview.

It also means another year of experince which means.. *doing mathematics, smoking pouring from ears* ...4 years of experince!!! Brrrrrrrrrilliant!

Date: 2007-01-09 12:16 pm (UTC)About the CS position... the reason why Rob hadn't shown them your resume thus far is because his contract actually ended on December 31st. He's still getting paid for the work he does, but he's sort of pissed off because HR is jerking him around. The time he had been working counts as overtime. He was supposed to meet with the head of Webkinz CS yesterday to tell them he doesn't want the extended contract, because he's fed up with coming in on good faith that he'd get the pay raise he'd be asking for.
I asked him about your resume and he said he hadn't turned it in because he hadn't actually been in the position to do it. He did say that regardless of whether or not he stays, he'd be recomending you to Peter (CS head, nice guy), because they really need people. Especially if he's ending his time there.
Still, I hope you get this content management job instead, as it's totally more up your alley and CS can wear you out after a while. This job sounds a lot more fun! Good luck! :D *high fives* I'm rooting for you!
