More medical nonsense!

I get a phone call from the clinic tonight that more or less says "You lab results came back. Get your butt down here right now!" This is typically NOT A GOOD SIGN, so we zipped down there right away.
Turns out that my infection isn't just ANY infection, but antibiotic resistant infection. In other words, my body is right now home to a superbug. Those things that you hear about on the news, in the doom or gloom reports? That's what I have.
The type of infection I've have is rather rare - it's a form of Staphylococcus, but I can't remember the exact name. Less than 1/1000 people will ever get it. Lucky me, I'm one of those choice people. The doctor can't even tell me where it came from because even he really doesn't have the slightest idea. It could have been picked up from anywhere.
The infection has been draining, but at the same time it keeps spreading. Slowly, but it's moving. At the moment I'm on the most powerful drug they can give me outside of hospital. The stuff costs a mint - $65 for only 15 pills. It's also got odd requirements on what can be in my system. If there's any antiacids or multivitamins, it cancels out the effects of the drug. Dairy prevents the body from processing it properly.
We're going to be tracking it to make sure we get a response. The test results state that it SHOULD react to what I'm on now. It's not supposed to be a highly resistant strain and what I have now is a "light" infection, not a deep one.
That said, I don't know what to think. I feel... sick, really. Maybe more frustrated. It's a lot to have on my mind at the moment.
