teddogOkay, so on a whim I decided that I needed a laugh by looking at some ill-researched fanfic. Decided to look up Degrassi because while I'm not familiar with the fandom, it's set in East Toronto. So, this is like an New Yorker looking at a fic set in NYC and laughing at the silliness.
There's actually a lot of fics about "My character moves from the US to Canada", but they dwell very little on the process of moving to a different country and the paperwork. Must have been some sort of special that I missed. Got an angsty teen? We'll let you into the country in half the time!
This one really amused me:

My favorite lines:
"Well I was born in Ontario, Canada on August 20, 1987 as was my sister Paige, also as you know by now too I'm a fraternal twin."
Yep, I'm not sure where, but I swear I was born in Ontario. Mom says it was somewhere in there, but then she can't remember who dad is either.
"Oh that cool, back in Toronto we had like two parks, one was the bad park were all the gangs and stuff would hang then there was the clean park were all the kids, parents, families could come too." Jay explained her.
Yep, Toronto has two parks and judging from the description, they're Regent Park and High Park. :B
