::points at icon::
Feb. 18th, 2006 04:22 pmWhen I get bored, odd things happen.
I've always wanted to make an icon out of Winston's old ads. It strikes me as the ultimate "I'm a mod and need to clean up the crap" icon. Or, in my case, "Dealing with exhibits by outside parties". I'm on an silly spree at the moment and might upload the silly icons to that comm Katie and I have. The one I never use.
Went over to Lisa's last night. We're old friends; our fathers were pinball buddies before they got married and in turn, we've known each other since about 2 weeks after Lisa was born. We're both the same age (although I'm about 3 months older) and were both born exactly nine months after our parents got married. XP
She has the greatest house ever. It's located in the west end of Hamitlon, about a few blocks from Cable 14, Steel City Surplus, The Hamilton Spectator and Locke Street. The epicentre of Hamilton cheese, lack of Hess Street notwithstanding. This gives it a unique vibe that I have yet to find elsewhere. That or I have some built in drive to live within a six block radius of her. Nothing is quite "right" with the house. The floors aren't sure if they're going uphill or downhill. The bathroom is a mile long and about four feet wide. The master bedroom is where you'd expect the living room. The second floor has two tiny rooms, and that's it. But, when you visit the place, it all fits. And her backyard is wonderful, since there's no house behind her and it flows into a small patch of parkland.
We had takeout dinner. Fish and chips from Connaught. It's another "need to go there" place in the Hamilton area. According to Lisa, it's smaller than, but looks a lot like the fish and chips places out in Nova Scotia. My thoughts on it? It's the only place I've been to that tastes like homemade.
The rest of the evening was spent watching MST3K shorts - never show Mr B Natural to a music student, she'll pee her pants - and playing We Love Katamari. I am no longer a Katamari virgin! That game is some form of visual drug. I have a very strong urge to pick up at PS2 suddenly.
