Mike/Rick is a joke pairing from the IP&S (ShadowKnight) RP, since that icon was made for Steff. There's a few skits that could be taken the wrong way out of context. And then there was a scene that referenced a ton of non-existent pairings, like Mike/Rick, Mike/Nance, KITT/Nance and Archie/Kitty.

I tend to joke about pairings in the RP a lot (http://www.livejournal.com/users/commanderteddog/295597.html?thread=171693#t171693), if the pairing icons I have weren't enough to tip you off.

I'd probably have to completely disregard their existance, like I already disregard the existance of a lot of things. See, because characterization, canon, timeline, plot... those things're kind of important. It's like spelling, and grammar -- in order to be taken even remotely seriously by anyone with two braincells to rub together, you just need these things.

So, like I do so much of the time, I would probably be wiser if I just pretended it didn't exist and 'lalala'd it away. Because, really, it's not worth me going into psycho-bitch-mode and feeding people into woodchippers.

What, the poetry skit? ::chuckles:: Even just reading it and not putting it into context, there's nothing really there. It's just kind of a silly, fun thing. Loved that skit; it was so nice. Especially considering where everyone is right now.

See, I think the fact that the scene took place right after Reality One got blown to smithereens was what made it so deep. I mean, you've got two people who've just been dealing with a lot of things (Ottawa, etc), and they hang onto each other because they kinda have to in that given moment. It's all very gentle. And wonderfully subtle.

...in context, this current era kinda sucks sometimes.
