I laughed so hard I wet myself!
Nov. 6th, 2002 10:24 pm"To just blatantly STEAL
ideas & properties, the way The Mouse Company did, without so much as
a word of acknowledgement, was, in my opinion, nothing less than
contemptible. If they'd even given a word or two of acknowledgement
at the end of the movie, for instance, it might not have been so
bad. If they'd said something like, "The works of Dr. Osamu Tezuka
are respectfully acknowledged" or something (like what was done with
Harlan Ellison at the end of "The Terminator.") But instead, they
acted as though they'd never even HEARD of Dr. Tezuka."
This was taken from a Lion King message board. Don't ask why I was there. Read the comment the person made about Ellison. If you know anything about the events surrounding "The Terminator", you'll know why that is WORST possible example the person could give!
Some much for an anti-person who's "done her research". Thank you Leo_Otaku, you're going to provide my sci-fi friends with some amusement tonight! Cheers!
BWAHAHAHAHA!
Actually, I may e-mail this kid and stop her from making anymore of a fool of herself... or wait, her email is unlisted. The ruling stands!
