Travelling highway 6 = teh awesome. There's so many random things to see, including:
- The "Almost MST3K" sign
- What happens when [livejournal.com profile] ame_agari and [livejournal.com profile] urufudo go into business beside each other
- Giant chairs
- Giant dinosaurs
- And other nonsense

So, I present the low-budget photo collection of amusing CRAP we found on the road. Most of the photos were taken as the car was moving... so prepare for strangeness!

I guess I should show these in order.

We're not on the highway yet; this is downtown Hamilton. Yay. The black car on the right is a Camaro Z28. Yes, this is a fandom joke. Let's move on.

Giant dinos in... either Waterdown, Clappison's Corners or Millgrove. I'm getting conflicting reports. Terra iis across the street and they say Waterdown.

HERE IT IS! The not-quite-Mystery Science Theater sign. Located in Aberfoyle.

For reasons unknown, the McDonalds on the edge of Fergus has this mystical fountain outside. It leaks. Located in Fergus.

It's Pizza Pizza and Chicken Chicken. This screams "TAS AND MIKE!". Located in Fergus.

BEST. SWIMMING. POOL. EVER. Located in Fergus (DUH!)

We were on the northwest end of Fergus and, well, corn is a big crop out there. Lots of corn fields. This field has crop that's been pushed over, which was surprising until we realized that THIS was the area the tornado ripped through.

A crew cleans up the remains of a barn. The damage near the highway wasn't too bad; it looked like the tornado went across highway 6, not down it. A major side road was still closed off and the damage down there looked pretty bad. I've got no photos of it, though.

Here's The Old Roxy Theatre. This used to be a working theatre when I was a kid. The snack bar had a window that was open to the outside, so you could order ice cream and slushies. The one thing they served that I really wanted to try was "iceburgs", a sundie cup filled with slushie and with a serving of soft-serve ice cream floating on top. Located in Mount Forest.

GIANT CHAIR! It's apparently the world's largest adirondack chair. Located in Varney.

I love outdoor vending machines. They're 100% cooler than vending machines that have to live indoors. Located in Durham.
