It's been a year. Give me a cookie.

GAH! If you haven't seen it yet, I strongly recommend watching the cartoon "Foster's Home For Imaginary Friends". Download it, catch on TV, just at least watch one episode. It's the most refreshing kids' series in a long while. I dig action series as much as anyone else, but this has a feel and mood that's totally unique. My younger brothers got me into it. Blame them. :D

The plot is rather straight forward, but this is more of a character driven series than plot driven. A kid, Mac, is told that he's too old for his imaginary friend Bloo. The two discover that there's a home for imaginary friends that can no longer live with their children compainions. The place also links displaced imaginary friends with children who don't have one and lack the ability to create their own. The owner of the home, the elderly Ms. Foster, promises Mac that Bloo won't get adopted out if he visits his friend everyday. However, the home is also full of nutty imaginary friends who are "unadoptable" for for various reasons. You can kinda see where this is going. Insanity in huge amounts, but it's very sweet and cute insanity.

This is Craig McCracken's new series, if you couldn't tell from the art direction. Yeah, it's got the "flat" look that was in "2 Stupid Dogs", "Dexter's Lab" and "Powerpuff Girls". It looks a lot more like Samurai Jack, since the heavy black outlines seen in Powerpuff Girls aren't there and the designs are more detailed.

According to my brother Taylor, the first three episodes are the best out of the series, but the rest are at least watchable.

And I bought Volume 7 of MST3K... and then remembered about the glitch in that set. Dang. Was that cleaned up by Rhino yet or do I still need to ask for a replacement disk?
