The Wrath of the Lich King Beta is going live!

I signed up for laughs, but it's a random draw. The invites haven't started coming up for North American servers yet, so I'm waiting. However, I've been sitting in freaking WoW-related draws for the past 6 months and haven't had any luck. :(

[livejournal.com profile] urufudo, we should pester Blizzard and ask them to let us into the Beta because Northrend looks kinda Thunder Bay-ish, so we'll be able to give complex feedback in the art direction.

The Finnish Labour Temple is Icecrown Citadel and Arthas serves pancakes in the basement. DISCUSS.

When the NDA lifted, I wasn't expecting this:

MASSIVE SPOILERS FOR THE QUEST "THE LIGHT OF THE DAWN"

Yeah. YIKES.

However, the Mograine son thing is worse than the freaking Summers brothers. This doesn't make a lick of sense, unless Alexandros had more kids than we know about.

There's Renault. Renault has been canonly dead since forever. No one is going to argue this.

Fairbanks claimed "Only one of his sons is dead. The other lives..." and then goes on to say the kid is in Outland. This son is never found in Outland. :P

Now we have Darion. All we know about Darion is that he would have been younger than Renault (not explaining here, but the answer is in the link) and he was a bit trigger happy (also explained in the spoilers).

Fairbanks implies that Alexandros only had two sons. However, given Darion's age, there's NO WAY he could have been over in Outland unless he went over Illidari (not likely), he was part of the first wave through when the Portal reopened (more likely, althought that pushes the timeline a bit) or Fairbanks was out of his mind (also likely).

So, the question is now - Is Darion the missing son? Or is there actually three sons? Or is this just a massive retcon?

As for what's up with Light's Hope, I think that the suitcase from Pulp Fiction is buried under it.

I must be sounding like a broken record... but.... BUT

Pet Trees!

"Ferocity - The DPS Tree
Known Pet Families Include: Wolves"

YES!

My main pet, since 2006, has been a wolf named Otto (after Otto from Read All About It). He's an odd mascot of sorts - other players claim to look after help when I go off and on break. I didn't want to give him up for a new DPS pet.
