Back In Reality...
Jun. 14th, 2008 08:58 amYeah, no real zombies. That's Blog Like it's the End of the World for yah. Now, if I remembered the date, I could do something more with it.
Back acted up yesterday morning, but I still managed to get some stuff done. I love my painkillers.
Went out to the local Fish and Chips place, Olde York. Words cannot describe how awesome this place is. The food is always great and the restaurant itself is like a tight, but bright little pub. It has the dark wood trim and mirrors and everything, but the place isn't dark or icky. I love the bar in the middle - we ended up eating there last night because the place was PACKED. Line-up going out the door. The area of Laird it's in is kinda strange. It's south of the big box stores, in a small pack of restaurants that have existed forever that's surrounded by industrial buildings that come and go. It makes the place even cozier. o_O
I'm also addicted to Whippets now. They're like Mallomars in the states - puffy marshmallow and cookie covered in chocolate. Like Viva Puffs, but they don't have the strange aftertaste that Viva Puffs have.
It doesn't beat out Tim Tams, but they're still really nifty.
