Frantics MP3s, anyone?
Apr. 2nd, 2008 12:30 pmMy main "thing" in trying to support the fandom with media is Prisoners of Gravity, as almost EVERYONE knows.
However, people are looking for Frantics stuff on the comm and there's a good number of comm members here, so, anyone want what I have?
I'll be doing the "Lazy But It Gets Things Done" method: Zipping them up by season/series and setting the files free on a free download site. If someone wants to set them up as a torrent, I have no problem with them going that extra mile. I just don't have time to do it myself The files are going to be free of "officially released" material, so it's only material from CBC broadcast and not rips of Boot To The Head, Enemies of Reason, etc because that can land me in BIG TROUBLE. I think people can live with that. IF not, they can bugger off.
This is what I have. If anyone has something that will fill the gaps, I'd gladly take those files for the collections. Not for personal use at all. :P
Frantic Times
I have every episode that's detailed on this log page. The quality varies, but they're all listenable. Some episodes include clips of Basic Black leading into them and I don't have the heart to clean that out.
Frantic Nighttimes
I have 3 incomplete episodes, one each hosted by Peter, Paul and Dan. These only include the skits parts and not the music. The skits are more or less just recycled from Frantic Times. Still, it's a neat bit of history.
Fran of the Fundy
Complete! Quality is a bit wonky, though.
The Frantics Look at History
Complete! Great little series, this. My copy of "The Rise & Fall of the Roman Empire" is of questionable quality.
Growing Up and Having Babies
Complete! IIRC, these are all of a great quality.
Those People Across the Street
I have the six episodes known to exist. One of the episodes I have is of an iffy quality. It's either "No Pain, No Gain" or "The Robbery". I'll have to check.
Gary & Ivan's Winnebago Tour
I have four episodes. The quality of these is really bad, but it's what I have. Unlike Nighttimes, the music is intact.
Running with Scissors with Mr. Interesting
This... isn't on my MP3 player. I'm pretty sure I have it, but it's incomplete.
Mr. Interesting's Guide to the Continental United States
Again, I have to double check on this one at home.
