Lucky Star finally got solicited! It ships May 6th.

Here's a twist - the covers for the North American regular editions are actually the covers from the Japanese limited editions and vice versa.

English Regular Edition
English Limited Edition

The limited edition include...
- Special Edition Artbox (the box is MASSIVE and looks to be like a larger version of the Haruhi box)
- "Motteke Sailor Foku" Opening CD (Opening theme single)
- Konata Character CD (Character theme single)
- Girl's School Uniform (Winter) Print T-Shirt (Noooo clue what this is going to look like. Probably ugly.)
- Chocolate Cornet Screen Wipe (This sounds cute)
- Alternate DVD Cover (Probably just refering to the crayon covers)

But they're listing the limited edition for $64.98 US... haha NO. Not for a pile of extras I'll never use. If this was late 2009 and this was the second season of Haruhi, I'd do it, but while I thought Lucky Star was a fun and cute little series, it didn't grab me like Haruhi. Lucky Star is a decent comedy, but Haruhi is an endearing science fiction series that references golden age sci-fi. I need to rewatch that. WARM FUZZIES!

Now, all I need is for someone to license-rescue Higurashi no Naku Koro ni and pick up Higurashi no Naku Koro ni Kai and someone else to grab Spice and Wolf and I'll be happy. Although if someone gets School Days, I'd buy it for the lolz.

Awww....

I can't believe I missed this.

It's mostly written by Jason. He's a cool guy, used to hang out on his message board. The banner image cracks me up, because Dave looks badass... which he's completely NOT in the game. Dave + chainsaw = COMEDY.

I always saw Dave Miller as this tired and frustrated character who really did try really damn hard to make everyone happy and, in the end, gets screwed over. In a perfect world, he'd dump his airhead girlfriend and become mayor of Toronto. But, alas, he's stuck in this odd b-movie parody world and probably suffers for it, but at least he gets by with a little help from his (very wacky) friends.

Page Five in there is also kinda neat, because it's a walkthrough told from Dave's point-of-view. It reminds me that there's NO GOOD FANFIC for this series. There was, however, this sorta lame fic about the cast from both the original Manaic Maniac and the new characters from Day of the Tentacle getting together for a party. Most of it is garbage, but there's a neat little sideplot that has Bernard (a minor character who later became the main charater in DotT) and Dave getting stuck in the middle of nowhere and having to work together to get back home, all the while venting their thoughts about each other.

I think I have it backed up somewhere.... maybe.

Rule 34.
