teddog: (Mion - Here to take names)
So, I had all these plans that I was going to come home and work on fandom stuff, like Signal Loss and my half of an art trade with Steff. BTW, you can see her adorable half of the trade here, which is a continuation of our strange crossover that doesn't make any sense, but is pretty darn amusing for us, which is all linked here. It'll probably continue whenever I'm bored of spamming AU fic across [livejournal.com profile] fic_simplicity.

Back to this evening, everything was fine until I reached Eglinton. And then I got stuck in the middle of a snowstorm that plugged up my bus ride home. Five blocks taking thirty minutes on a bus? We had it. So, I had to walk most of my way home if I wanted to get there before midnight. It wasn't long, but have you ever walked more than ten blocks in a nasty winter storm? It kills any will to do something beyond eating and zoning out. Several hours later and I'm still not feeling 100%.

I did manage some screencaps, which is the lowest possible effort from me. I think this month is cursed. These came from a DVD I got a while back, before the hard drive crash. Most notable is the first episode of season two, for reasons that the series was just starting to settle into its final form, and clips from a pledge drive, where you too could get a Prisoners of Gravity t-shirt for the small donation of fifty bucks. You know you want it. Oddly enough, there's a short in-character clip included.

Anywho, here we go: Pledge drive and Season two, episode one.

Let's start with Adaptations, the season two opener. )

That's what I have to share tonight. I really got to get off my butt about Signal Loss, as the site is going to be SEVEN next month. According to wedding anniversary charts, the gift for a seventh anniversary is supposed to be wool, copper or desk sets. So, please send me sweaters, pennies and pencils! I don't have an exact date for Signal Loss's lauch, so its birthday falls on whatever week the Hamilton school board gives their students off for March Break; I launched the site sometime around my spring break in grade 12. This year that's March 10 to 14.

More proof that Steff is awesome.

[14:46] hglowe: You had better not open that box hungry.
[14:46] CommanderTeddog: ...

I'M SCARED!
[14:46] hglowe: Why?
[14:46] CommanderTeddog: How much did you put in it?!
[14:46] hglowe: Want the list?
[14:47] CommanderTeddog: ::laughs:: Uh, part of says "YES!" but that might be the part that's lightly buzzed on candy my coworker brought in.
[14:47] CommanderTeddog: *part of me
[14:48] hglowe: Two Whatchamacallits, two Take Fives, one giant Symphony with toffee, one giant Mr. Goodbar, one York Peppermint Patty, one thing of Rolos, one bar of 60-odd percent Cacao, two plain Hershey bars, one king sized Hershey with almonds, one regular Hershey with almonds, one pack of Resees Peanut Butter Cups... uh...
[14:48] hglowe: I'm sure I'm missing something...
[14:48] hglowe: King sized Hershey Special Dark...
[14:48] CommanderTeddog: HOLY CRAP.
[14:48] hglowe: I think there's more. Oh! One Hershey's Cookie and Cream...
[14:49] hglowe: I think there are a few more, but can't remember. ::grins::
[14:49] hglowe: So, don't open that box while hungry.

For Steff, the Star Trek Rhapsody:

Just randomly dorky.

And because I laughed at it, the Lucky Star opening redone with Higurashi characters.

Sadly a lot of the references go by too fast to catch.
