You get to the subway platform. It's crowded, full of people from an earlier delay that you missed. You finally manage to fight your way onto a train, after waiting through 5 trains that were packed full. As you travel south, your greeted with an all-too-friendly message explaining that the train behind you is holding at your home station due to a medical emergency.

Welcome to Monday morning! :D

Public art is something I very much have an interest in. It dates so quickly, since it's pretty much "pop art", but tends to last longer. Now, there's a fair amount in Toronto, but my problem is I can never find a title for many of them.

Behold, the Outdoor Art in Toronto guide! Your guide to outdoor objects that you never realised where proper art! I have to give the guy credit, since he's named and photographed some commonly seen pieces and some really out there ones.

Examples:

Elevated Wetlands. I've seen those a lot, never realised what they were supposed to be.

Between The Eyes. Located across the street from my office. The source of much debate in the summer, as we often eat ice cream in that plaza on Fridays.

Synthetic Eden. Funny story about this one. I discovered this piece in the middle of a rain storm. I went into a courtyard to take shelter and found this instead!

Landing Sculpture SII & SIV Greatest sculpture ever? Or GREATEST sculpture ever?

Flight Stop. EVERYONE knows this one. It's so iconic of the mall. Sadly, there aren't photos of the art piece Grand Illusion, which used to hang in the north end of the mall. I think it's been moved to Barrie.
