Aug. 14th, 2007 11:22 amMy back is acting up so much today. Me = sad. D: I think I might go home early.
If you have ever finished Toronto and explored Yonge Street, which is THE tourist street for many people, you may be familiar with some of Yonge's very loud nudie bar signage.
I just found out that this past weekend, the Brass Rail's three story sign caught on fire:

Which is pretty darn funny, given the size of it. The sign there is particularly ugly in the ever growing land of nasty signage that is Yonge Street.
I finally managed to read ALL of Day of the Dragon. I had "finished" it before in the sense that I gave up on the book and skimmed the sucker for anything interesting. Of course, I was curious about some of the details that got pulled into Warcraft canon, so I gave it another shot. It was AWFUL, both as a fantasy book (it failed hard) and as piece of Warcraft canon (Hm, it's a cartoony fantasy universe and deep, dark angst is NOT okay with me). It appears that despite my curiousity towards the early versions of canon, there really isn't anything super special of note here except for some background on the dragons. Even that isn't worth it, as some of the information as already been retconned.
There's a few, sparse interesting footnotes in there in terms of the new expansion. Many of the announced major canon characters are featured in the novel, so this was on my "to do" list. I think I should have focused on clearing all of Warcraft III first. Probably would have been a lot more fun. :(
