I'm back in T-Bay for the fall. Feels funky.

My room this year is a freaking walk-in closet. So small. I ended up with a single 'cause I'm only up here four months hopefully and the res staff doesn't want to be stuck with half of a empty room. It's easier to fill a single than a double.

My location is back in "Lock Down". Or rather, I just learned it's called Lock Down. Lock Down is the nickname for the far west hallway on the first floor. Years ago, all the west floor hallways had the ability to lock down in case something massive went wrong in the dorms. Only this one hallway can still lock down, so we can become a bunker, you know, if we really wanted to. o_O

Truth of the matter is I'm only a few doors down and across the hall from from my old room. So, this year I face the woods and college instead of the mountians and parking lot. I'm not 100% happy with this, because I don't get that much daylight compared to across the hall and I'm so close to the path that the staff has bolted the windows partly shut to prevent break-ins.

I also have one of the last RJ-45 cables in Thunder Bay. I could of sworn I packed mine, but I needed to run to the store to pick up the crappest, most overprice little RJ-45 I've ever seen a replacement cord.

The trip up here was a bit different than before, since we went up through the US. Here's the highlights:

- The 402 is one of the most boring highways in Canada.
- I-69 sucks. The highway was so bumpy that my CD couldn't stop skipping. XP
- Shopping in the US makes improves my body image. At least 50% of the people I saw were heavier than me.
- I found a stocking with "Enrico" on it at Bronners. It was just sitting there alone on the shelf for no good reason. XD
- I bought a glass fox ornament at Bronners. There weren't any doggie ornaments I liked there and foxes are a good luck charm for me. Here's a link to it on the website.
- Frankenmuth is on crack. End of discussion.
- I saw this at the side of the highway and could not stop laughing for 20 minutes.
- US really needs to figure out what it's trying to do about the border. They talk about locking it down tighter, but I didn't get asked for any ID when I crossed.
- The Soo has the greatest getto waterslide ever.
- Hm, that's all I can think of.

On a side note, the gas prices varied a ton. It used to be that prices were low around Southern Ontario and slowly rised up in the North. It doesn't work that way anymore. Prices in the Hammer and Thunder Bay were around $1.26. We saw a range between $1.33 in Wawa, $1.45 in Marathon and $1.24 in Terrace Bay, with reports of $1.02 in Dryden of all places. WTF indeed.
