"Family Snapshot" is one of the most creepy songs I've heard in a long time.

You can take your shock rock and shove it. This one is about a million times worse. Exactly what it's about is debatable: The song is about an assasination and while details relate to the JFK assasination, the thoughts of the killer in the song are lifted from Arthur Bremer's An Assassin's Diary.

Good olde fashioned nightmare fuel. And the lyrics have this amazing, almost dreamlike quality too:

All you people in TV land
I will wake up your empty shells
Peak-time viewing blown in a flash
As I burn into your memory cells

How's that for a description of a breaking news report? o_O

Alright, I've mentioned how I used to watch Off Beat Cinema like mad in the past and Mighty Taco was a big sponsor.

There used to be this really wacky commerial with a guy that looked a little like a sane version of Dr. Forrester and a bowler named Ronnie. This ad has been out of rotation for years, so I figured I would never see it again.

I was wrong. So very wrong.

Might Taco has a website with lots of promo goodies! Including the ad!

The ad in question is "Something About Mighty" and it's probably one of the more trippy ads ever created by anyone. Oh gosh, I love it. I think it was created in the late 1990s. The only older ad there is "Spice of Life", which was airing in 1996/1997. And I think "Dedicated Employee" predates the "Wendy's Guy" ads.

While you're at it, listen to these:

Why? Three words: Gettysburg. On. Ice. I never believed my father when he said he heard it. It's like something me, Laura and Mike would think up. "All the battles! All the great generals! All on ice!"
