Jul. 17th, 2005 03:22 pmYay! I now officially have all the fanlistings I applied for: Forrester, Knox and The Red Green Show. :D
I also worked more on Signal Loss last night. Yes, I'm actually trying to finish the rebuild again, even through I'm so far behind. XD
This is a test of the article section. Just some simple PHP tricks used so that the archive is only 7 actual coded pages long, instead of close to 40. 0_0 I also rewrote the character profiles, but I haven't begun to code them or create the images to go along with the page. Character profiles, I swear, are the cutest thing to write for any fansite. The next major section I need to work on is the Sequel/Spin Off area. I haven't even started writing that yet. I have a rough idea of what I want to include: the failed CD-ROM and the long-rumoured second series I'll have to put in for sure. Maybe mention The Anti-Gravity Room because a couple of crew members ended up there, although I won't stand for fandom in-fighting there. I might add Warp if I'm feeling daring... or drunk. Or I might not touch it.
I might change "Screencaps" to "Images", since I have some odd images floating around the hard drive. My most prize bit of fandom fluff (aside from a copy of Omni with the MST3K article) is an image of a full page of the opening comic, scanned from the Globe and Mail's TV Guide.
*coughs*
Although, I'm looking for a couple of severely wanted pieces of old fandom. Maybe posting here will cause of search engine hit or two...
One time travel short story (details from an old newsgroup posting):
"But I keep thinking of this short story in Analog about dino-extinction and 'time viewers'" ... "That story came up with a rationale explaining that gravity wells were needed
to really make the time viewer gadgets useful" ... "(And I'm afraid I don't recall the title or the issue date for the story in question. All I recall off-hand is somebody inserting Rick Green's Prisoners of Gravity other nom du video 'Enrico Gruen' in as a friendly joke type of character name.)"
One TVOntario preview from 1993 (details from a Starweek article):
"After that, we watched a one-hour preview of TVO's fall season, starring Rick Green of Prisoners Of Gravity. He was purported to be riding up and down in a TVO elevator/studio, interviewing TVO personalities/passengers."
Yeah, I chase down and research a lot of fandom related items, but these two are especially intriguing and I can find nothing on them. Thus the pled for help. If you found this post at random and know ANYTHING about these pieces of media, please leave a comment! I will build several churches in your honour. :(
