teddog: (SPRING BREAK!)
My roomie Mandy says I get too enthusiastic about common things.

Case in point: I'm insanely happy to get my bus tickets for spring break. I usually fly home, but I can't afford $400 for plane tickets, so to Greyhound it is. The tickets were a LOT cheaper than I expected. Greyhound.ca listed the price as being insanely high (over $300 for return unless you bought the tickets in advance), but the final total was less than $150. Part of the savings was a student discount.

People whine and complain about the 20 hour ride, but I don't mind. It just feels like another great adventure to me. I can't wait to go. Plus my tickets are cool. I have FOUR tickets; the ride is broken up from T-Bay to Sudbury and Sudbury to Toronto. They're all strung together in this massive chain. It amuses me.

The major stops are in Terrace Bay, White River, the Sault St. Marie and Sudbury. I'm planning on taking an overnight bus, so some of those stops are wacky hours. 4:30 am, in the case of the Soo. Only meal stop is in Sudbury... for breakfast! Breakfast on the road, especially in winter, is one of my most favorite things in the world. Now I have to figure out what I'm bring with me on the bus. Need to sort through my CDs, maybe burn a new mix disk.... or three. Get some new comics.

Why yes, I am an easily excited fool. Thanks for noticing. Now move to the back with all the other cranky peoples of the world.

Oh.... and while I may not like hugs from friends that much, it turns out I really like getting my hair ruffled. Mandy mussed my hair in the mall while mocking me. I was going to protest, but I stopped and said "Holy crap, that seriously feels good". Yeah, I'm strange.

HOLY SWEET MERCIFUL CRAP! I WROTE SOMETHING. AND IT'S CRAP!

Crap, crap, crap. This was written as a gag to my sister Katie. The idea came when someone suggested a pairing between Rick and Wrath from the anime Fullmetal Alchemist. Of course, I didn’t think of THOSE characters when I read the pairing. I thought of Rick of PoG and Wrath from the Fullmetal Alchemist manga (they’re different and manga Wrath can kick anime Wrath's butt). To which Katie said: "No I wanted Wrath/Nance" and this little thing snowballed.

Title: Untitled
Rated: I dunno... PG? (mild cursing, some violence)
Fandom: Subreality/TTPCTS Club, PoG and FMA characters.
Unbetaed because it sucks. May tweak later. Intended to be a carryover of the "Super Secret Subreality-Based Project of Doom, Now With 50% More Insanity" and is based on Drabble 20 from that story... so this won't make a lick of sense as a standalone.

Note: If you aren't aware of who Wrath is in the FMA manga and don't want to be spoiled, don't read this story.

1. Grab the nearest book.
2. Open the book to page 123.
3. Find the fifth full sentence.
4. Post the text of the sentence in your journal along with these instructions.
5. Don't search around for the coolest book you can find. Do what's actually nearest to you (We already know you, no use trying to be pretentious).

And what did I get?
"Check with your Web server adminisrator to determine which method you should use."

Figures that a programming book is the closest.
