Dec. 30th, 2004 01:25 amThere's a Spiral/Fullmetal Alchemist/Witch Hunter Robin/Hellsing crossover on FF.N. THERE IS NO SHAME. OMG! ArcherXAlucard! THEIR LOVE IS SO PALE! *dies* Looks like a ton more crappy FMA pieces have been uploaded, including more OOC Havoc fic. No OOC (uber angsty) Fury, though. I feel a little let down.
Thankies to Tas for pointing out that this site is finally up and running.
Strangest thing is that they've named the material that Roy's gloves are made of: Pyrotex. Pyrotex is a real material and most translations I've seen up to this point say that the gloves are made of "ignition cloth".
So... what's the problem? Why my confusion?
Roy needs a spark of somekind to use his flame skillz. He usually makes the spark using the gloves, the downside being that if he's useless when soaked if he doesn't have another spark source (lighter, matches, etc.). HOWEVER, Pyrotex isn't a material that allows a person to make sparks. It's supposed to be a fireproof material. For heaven's sake, it's got asbestos in it.
Of course, the Pyrotex in the FMA world is probably some funky, magical material that probably has nothing to do with real world Pyrotex. I just tend to think these things over too much. :)
