teddog: (Why yes... (D'Nerd))
Thank you Jen for refusing to help me. Love you too. Hope you enjoy being blocked on MSN. I'm sick of this "you ran out on us" bullshit. I got old last fall. Thunder Bay had dad's blessing in the end. Remember that.

I'm so pissed and I can't sleep. To make up for the fact that I couldn't copy 'Hacker's tapes tonight and I'm so mad everyone (including myself), I'm going to get off my lazy ass and finally rescreencap the Second Nature/Main opening credits from Prisoners of Gravity. This ought to take a while, since I only have one complete copy of the season two version of the Second Nature theme. Which sucks, 'cause it's got the best shot of Enrico Gruen in the whole series.

See! I do work on my fansites, but only when I'm angry at the world. Explain that one.

Also: the 6th ending to InuYasha is so darn funny. It sounds like island dance music, but the lyrics have a completely different tone.

Not too bad for taking them off of an old VHS copy, I'd say.

Featuring the baseball bat lens of DOOM.

I used to think said lens was a telescope until actually got to use a massive lens like that. You don't fully realize how freaking big the thing is until you actually use it. With massive lenses, the lens attaches to the tripod, not the camera.

Mandy quote of the moment:
"I've seen better sex scenes on the kids' station!"

I went out to the Multimedia meeting today. The only thing I presented was the Joe Kickass video with my group from last year. I'm not secure with showing much of my work.

After we showed the video from last year, a guy came over and ask us if we were interested in attending this advanced multimedia program sometime in the future. Turns out it's in Toronto, on Bayview. I'm like.... "I didn't really do much on this project but work on lighting and audio rigs". I'm too modest. At least that's what Rob told me. -_-

ANYWHO, the same guy called the people on the waiting list wannabes who see our work and falsely think that they can fit in with our standards. That made me laugh. :-D

I had an interesting talk with Ray Baker, ye old head of the program. He knew that my grandmother died last fall and asked how I was getting by. And then I told him that my father passed away this summer. Yeah... that was hard. Ray said he was impressed that I'm still went back to college two months after it happened. I'm apparently a very determined, because events like that usually even the best of students.

He asked me what was keeping me going and I told him I want a placement at either CBC or TVOntario. This isn't as far off of an idea as I originally thought, as Ray told me that CBC has taken students from the program before.

Tiff Miller wants me to try hard for TVOntario, as she thinks I'd fit in well there. Darned if I know why she thinks that way.

It's fun going to these meeting things because Rob always talks the world about me. It should be noted that I've had teachers back me up, but not as much as Rob has. The guy has even offered to help me find a summer work term in Canadian media. :-P

One think I've found was that people showing their work often focused on their personal projects. I'm so starting to collect my Earthlight Run work to show next year. "This is my project model for my 'family-aimed although it doesn't look it' self-paroding media piece". And I'm going to rework my logo. I currently have the "Shell Key", but I'm going to base my new logo around the puppy (the "Teddog") that appears on my personal website. I've had so much positive feedback on that darn dog; people can't help but love it. If you have what could become a good personal mascot, go for it!

Also found History Bites torrents today. Only one epsiode - "A Newtiful Mind" - and History Bites isn't my most favorite series ever, but it's still okay. Plus I can use it as "Stupid Shit" for the anime club, since some TV program parodies on the show are so out there.
