Oct. 16th, 2004 11:46 amIt's snowing outside. o_O
Ann, roommate Amanda and I went out and watched "Shaun of the Dead" last night. That was the best movie I've seen in a long time. The trailers make it look a like a laugh-a-minute comedy, but it's not. It is really funny, but also extremely dark at times. The ending, for example, seems really light hearted until you think about it. And then it sinks in that the victors of the battle aren't exactly the "heroes" that we make them out to be. In fact, the human race has serious issues it needs to deal with.
When we got home, Ann lent me her copy of Sims 2 for me to play around with on my laptop. And the two of us quickly set out on building our own demeted little town. Inuyasha, Kagome, and their son Shippo (who has gone punk XD) live down the road from Rick and his daughter Nance. For some reason, Kagome likes to come over and hit on Rick, thus annoying Nance, who is also very confused to how she became Rick's daughter. At least, that's what I'd like to think. The confused part, not the hitting on part. That actually happened. Our version of Kagome appears to want to make it with 3 guys at once.
Me thinks I'm going to build a Sims version of Deep 13 next. Or maybe include the Maniac Mansion characters in the town. Nance and Shippo need school friends. :-D
All I really like the Sims for is building your own world. The structured part of the game (the preset towns) bore me.
