teddog: (Why yes... (D'Nerd))
I hate having dreams where I'm reading a nifty book or have just come into the ownership of a nifty book. Why? Because when I wake up, I CAN'T FINISH IT!

Some books I dream about are strange, like a Prisoners of Gravity comic. Not a just comic of the opening, but a whole episode as a comic, interviews and all. Usually the books are adventure novels, or research books on topics that aren't covered elsewhere. Odd stuff like media theories, programming/coding and tv shows. I have seen fanfic more than once in a book too.

My roommate claims these dreams are proof of my geekdom. I always seem to dream in some sort of media form, like books, computer code or television. I remember having film-based dreams when I was 3. People would come into a theater and watch my dream/movie. Pretty funky stuff when you're a toddler.

In other news, ASP is basically Visual Basic with HTML tossed in. I'm getting a kick from passing around variables and messing with classmate's heads. Really, if you managed to get through Javascript class, this is NOTHING. Although I like getting server errors. It means I've learned something.

As everyone knows, the MST3K opening theme is one of greatest television themes ever created. It's silly and cute and fun to sing along to. When I got into MST3K, the only form of the show I had access to was the movie, which is lacking the presence of the opening theme in a traditional sense. The music that plays over the opening and closing credits are rearranged versions of the theme, but they both lack the lyrics.

Some time ago I managed to snag a copy of the movie's end credit theme by Dave Alvin. With lyrics. And crowd noise, since I think it was recorded at a con of some sort. Just pretend it's a live version. The recording sucks ass, but this is probably the only version we're going to see until a special edition DVD rerelease of the movie ever happens.

Download it here.

And here's the lyrics. They're different from any of the television versions )
