::sighs:: Goodbye to Salter Street Films
Dec. 16th, 2003 03:46 pmAlliance Atlantis is basically shutting down production on everything but CSI: Crime Scene Investigation and in turn, Salter Street Films is getting dumped. What a depressing day.
FYI: Salter Street Films was a production company out east. Some of their more well-known productions include This Hour Has 22 Minutes (and the Talking To Americans spinoff specials), Made in Canada (also known as The Industry) and ::shudders:: LEXX. In the last few years, they had been working with the infamous Michael Moore on the series The Awful Truth and the movie Bowling for Columbine.
They also created El Mundo Del Lundo, a goofy late-night movie show missed only by two people: My father and I.
If you've seen the "Wizard Power" Flash movie, you've been exposed to Salter Street Films. The graphic of Colin Mochrie is from the Salter Street series Blackfly. :-)
Word from Alliance Atlantis is that This Hour Has 22 Minutes will still continue production, which hurts because that series is dead. It's been going for over 10 years! Give it a rest! Geez.... focus on Made In Canada instead.
