IT'S REAL!!!
Feb. 8th, 2003 02:28 amEveryone remembers at least one or two of the strange rumours they heard in high school. Most high school rumours are about the social scene, like who's dating who and such. However, my communications class had rumours of another kind.
Basically, we would discuss programs made on public access. Our city had no "real" public access station, just Cable 14. The station used to have funky public access programming, they decided to can it in the mid-90s. In turn we had nothing truly entertaining to watch. Of course, because of our friends we would get rumours of what was on in other cities.
One of these rumoured shows was "Cowboy Who?", reported to be a Doctor Who parody of sorts. It was mentioned in a free magazine called "What", which you could get from the guidance office. We had these wild ideas of what such shows were like, back we never actually got to watch them.
That is, until tonight, when I found the "Cowboy Who?" website! It's real, dangit! And I've seen Realvideo clips of it! Holy crap on a stick! This is amazing.
Behold "Cowboy Who?"
It's odd, but the site says that "Cowboy Who?" ran from 1990-1995, so how the heck we found out about it in 1998/1999 is personally beyond me. 'Tis a living legend, though. It's the kind of show I'd love to make.
