American broadcast standards amuse me. American produced shows everything goes: sex, language, violence, etc. But with foreign shows, things get cut, moved around, renamed or shoved onto PBS.

Examples with Canadian shows:

The Secret Adventures of Jules Verne was aimed at a family audience when it first aired in Canada. On Sci-Fi in the states the show was slated for an adult audience.

Made in Canada was renamed "The Industry" when it was aired in the US.

The Red Green Show is a family sitcom in Canada. PBS aires it as a straight comedy show.

And then there's the whole PoG/Sci-Fi rumor. Meh.
