teddogIn my quest to discover Thunder Bay culture (AKA going with people from class to Fat Cats for breakfast), I had Finnish pancakes today. Those were strange; thiner than the average pancake, but much more rich and heavy. They could stop a bullet. And it may have been the place we ate, but the pancakes were HUGE!
Normal pancakes never seem to sit right with me and these weren't any different. I think it's a reaction to the flour or something (I get sick if I eat too much wheat). I felt funny during my networking lab.
On the funnier side of Thunder Bay, there's two places that currently amuse me:
1) Big G's Pizza. Holy crap, I'm going out and taking a photo of this place. For those outside of MST3K land, the Gizmonic Institute had a burger place with the called (subtitled?) "Home of the Big G Burger".
2) Stan's... something. The phonebook lists it as "A Pizza Diner - Stans", but the side of the building says "buffeteria", which may be the greatest word on earth.
And along with more amusing links, I proudly present
InuYasha - Gonterman Style!
Well... it's not exactly InuYasha, but a modern day American goes to Japan and hooks up with a catgirl. Close enough. Crappy comics are funny.
