Jen and I watched the MST3K episode Merlin's Shop Of Mystical Wonders last night. That was ODD.

Yeah... a movie that's supposed to be a family films, but features several dead family pets, a slightly freudian opening story and clips from some horror movie from the 1980s. Oh, and a woman about five times the size of me, if that's even possible. It's a real winner.

I've been so burned out. Because I've been so sick this month, I've done so little packing and I've leaving in what? A week? AHHH!

I must get a copy of this from you. XD I have yet to introduce the beauty of MST3k to Steve! I'm sure this one would go over well with him and Scott-o. :D I should show them the one with Trumpy. Hehehe. What title was that one again..? Actually, I think the best would be to show them the movie first. XD Hehe.

My grammer sucks when I'm half asleep.

The movie's a good starter; This Island Earth isn't that bad compared to many of the movies shown (like Manos), it's not so... "out there" as some episodes are and it's got Clayton Forrester as the antagonist. The one massive weakness I'm finding with episodes from the later seasons (the ones on DVD sets 4 and 5) is that Pearl Forrester just isn't that good of a villian. Clayton was such a wacked out, over the top character that it's impossible to replace him. :-\

The episode with Trumpy was Pod People. "It has nothing to do with pods. It has nothing to do with people. It has everything to do with hurting." Dammit, I love that episode.

Another way to introduce them could be the colorized version of Reefer Madness (this version (http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg/detail/-/B00018D3XM/ref=pd_bxgy_img_2/002-2081015-0402457?v=glance&s=dvd)) that was released onto DVD a few months ago. Mike Nelson does a heckling commentary track on the disk. The Blockbuster here has a copy, so it must be pretty easy to track down. It's not exactly MST3K, but I think the film may be your kind of thing.
