Random numbers
Jun. 20th, 2004 09:19 pmPosted here so I don't forget them.
Notes: These numbers are from my father's road atlas. The times given distance wise seem fairly correct. The Thunder Bay to Hamilton run is listed as being around 17 hours, which is fairly close to the actual time. For my sanity's sake NYC is used for Westchester County. This affects the final numbers somewhat, but then they would vary by driver anyway.
Westchester County to Montreal: 6.05 hours going North through New York state and up into Quebec through the Champlain (?) crossing.
Hamilton to Montreal: 6.37 hours going along Lake Ontario and the seaway.
Youngstown to Montreal: 11.19 hours going up to Lake Erie, following it and crossing into Canada at Buffalo-Fort Erie, going along the golden horseshoe until Hamilton, then following the "Hamilton to Montreal" route.
Therefore, The crew in Westchester ARE closer to a smoked meat sandwich. :-P
