teddogUgh, I swear I'm going to throw one of the school computers out the window one day. Access was driving me crazy today. Nuff said.
I'm going enter the Canada Book Day book cover contest. I have to draw a new cover for my favorite Canadian book. I was thinking of doing Neuromancer, since that's one of my favorite Canadian novels, but I like the cover to Neuromancer as is and can't think of anyway to improve it. I then thought of going with Callahan's Key. The characters would have been a blast to draw, but I discovered that I would have to write about how the book I drew the cover for has changed my life. There's not way I can defend a Callahan book as being life changing. So, about to give up, I thought of Bart Bandy, my teenage-hood hero! The Bandy Papers are Canadian novels and darn good ones at that. The covers for the early novels are slightly misleading, showing lots of airborne dog fights and not much else. In the end I decided to do a cover for Three Cheers For Me. I sketched out a rough draft at lunch. My favorite part is the tagline: "In war heroes are born. Unfortunately Bartholomew Bandy isn't one of them." A little wordy, but I like, I like.
I've currently writing a fic to get back at all those whiney MiSTers on FF.N. I might post at FF.N, but I'll get flamed by idoits. Again.
Katie's in Ottawa. Yay for her. The heatwave is there too and the A/C broke in the bus. When I was in Ottawa this time of year before, it was cool. Not really cold, but not very warm either. I like the weather like that.
Sent the RR parts to Steff last night. It made her happy, which in turn made me happy. Dang, I'm a sap. (Single And Proud, lol)
