Maine Trip Report - DAY ONE (Friday the 12th): Pictures!

Not that many for the first day, but we were just in Pittsburgh. Might be on the dark side, as my flash sucks.

Our first rental car. Yeah, that was the smallest they had.

The commons in the Cathedral of Learning. Steff's in the picture for scale.

Ceiling detail.

THE ORANGE THINGS. Photo by Steff. Most messed up design idea ever!

Are you sure it wasn't a bowl of orange candies, nestled in wheat grass? ;)

No, the orange things were about twice the size of my fist. And fuzzy.

The orange things kinda look like urinal cakes...or something. Weeeeird!

The hall of learning is beautiful, though!

Maybe, but they were fuzzy and I've never seen a fuzzy urinal cake.

The Cathedral of Learning is amazing! They have different rooms themed after different countries.

Hello again, Rach!

Steff makes a nice scale marker in the Cathedral commons.
Much like a statue in true flesh!

And the gaudy orange! Reminds me of some loud variety of Tribbles...

I didn't think about how the orange things look like tribbles. They kinda do! I was a bit surprised at all of the orange. It's usually not a colour connected to upscale products or places.
