Before this starts getting thrown around and people get the wrong ideas:
Yes, I AM on World of Warcraft now.
No, I do not think that this is going to be a long term thing.
I took Katie's 10 day guest pass on a lark, so I could see what the fuss was all about. It's okay. Mike suggested that I play a hunter character, so I'm a Night Elf, sadly. I kinda wanted to be a Human, since it's somewhat normal, but they don't have a hunter class. Right now, I'm on a party with Katie's Night Elf priest and we're just kicking around with quests and being annoyed at the players that like to flirt with us, including the guy who tried to cyber with me. WTF?
We're on a RP server, but we keep to ourselves at the moment. I guess our characters are insane, which is fine and all considering how stupid we are at times: getting killed from jumping off of Aldrassil, having pool parties in moonwells and forgetting to loot items in quests. Don't mind us, because we are in character. They just aren't sane.
It's more fun to play insane than sane. I can't really see myself enjoying this outside of my group of friends. I've played RPs that can continue on fine alone, but this isn't one of them.

Well you discovered the seedy underbelly of it all.
1) Lots of 12 year old (and 40 year old) play Wow,
2) These young dolts (and old perverts) play almost excusively Alliance because its the pretty one,
3) Many of them play either Human or Night Elf and act retarded. My wife's character was barely created when she was asked to cyber. So you're seeing the horny little tweens which is by far the worst aspect of the game. But they don't progress too far so don't be discourage.
I'm not all that serious into it, as the fact that I've been playing it on and off for 6 months and my highest character is lvl. 27. Many people have at least a lvl. 60 by this point. I just like to explore and do all the fun things and not grind, farm and pvp.

It's amusing... at first. But then you get sick of it.
Exploring is fun; the tour today was awesome I've been questing a lot, mostly to raise my level up high enough that I can train pets. Still haven't finished the training quests yet, but I hope to have a pet wolf by the time you see me again.
