For the last time: I'M NOT DEAD!
Gah! Everyone I know in town is freaking out. The quick facts about what happened on Friday:
1) Although I missed my 8 am flight, I managed to get standby for a flight at 5:15 pm.
2) This flight was delayed due to the Christmas rush. As such, the plane was 25 minutes late. I arrived at 7:15 instead of 6:50.
3) By the time the near-accident at Hamilton International Airport occured, I was at home watching the Red Green Show Christmas Special.
4) It was a CARGO plane that almost crashed. Ok, I understand that some people didn't hear "cargo" on the breaking news report, but I was on Westjet flight 736 which was travelling from Thunder Bay to Hamilton to Ottawa.
It's nice to be loved, but having everyone panicking is a little silly. And don't bother going up to YHM to wish me goodbye on the 4th. My return flight is on Air Canada and is out of Pearson International. I love Hamilton's rural airport (you climb stairs to get in and out of the planes and get to go on the tarmac), but I needed a cheap flight.
