Craziest Dream Ever, Part Oh, I've Lost Count Now...
Okay. So, I have a dream about getting a pimple in a strange place...
Then I woke up... AND FOUND I HAD ONE THERE.
The dream also included myself, my sister and Aelia (WoW friend) attempting to break into a closed section of an underground mall that was going to be cemented closed. There was something we were trying to ship out, but I can't remember what it was. o_O
I wonder if acne can be triggered by dry air, since I've had some strange breakouts as of late and my apartment is very dry. It could also be an environmental or a lifestyle trigger, given the changes I've been through. This is much ado about something unsettling.
Hey,
urufudo! If you're still looking for baked goods, you need to swing on down by here on Saturday. I've been trying out the local ValuMart for groceries - they're smaller than my local Dominion but have a slightly lower price point and actually a better selection on some items. Not as cheap as Price Chopper, but again, better selection. The one thing they lack, though, is a proper bakery, so I decided to explore the local ones for bagels.
Uh, I'm at a loss as to why I didn't do this EARLIER. There's this awesome bagel place called the Bagel House. A dozen bagels is just short of $6, but for this area "2 packages of 6 for $5" is considered a sale and Bagel House makes Montreal-style bagels rather than New York-style. They're smaller, but are sweet, dense, melt-in-your-month bits of baked goodness that smell so good.
I needs to hit up the local bakeries for flaxseed bread. I haven't really been into Epi or Cobs, mostly because they scare me off a fair bit - uppity bread stores! There's also bakeries on Mount Pleasant, but most of them are really just pastry shops and by the time you hit Yonge, that's all you find (mind you, it's Dufflet and a cupcake store, but I can't make a sandwich with that).
What I miss is places like 5-Star in Thunder Bay. Hamilton didn't have anything like it and I haven't found one in Toronto. It's hard to explain the Five Star if you've never been. Very plain, very simple and down-to-Earth and with the best lemon slices anywhere. You didn't have to think about how you presented yourself. I love Toronto and all, but sometimes... it gets to the point of being silly.
It's 5 am and I'm talking about bread. I'm going back to bed. 0_0
