Wanting to be on the road again!
Well, it appears that a summer trip to Thunder Bay is out of the question. It's not a matter of money more than time.
I have 2 weeks paid vacation this year and 3 weeks next, but that builds from the start of the work year. So, I only have about 4 days vacation right now. If I go up there, I want to do it by bus, since on the plane you lose all the little communities that are on the way up. 4 days is NOT enough to do that. Mandy is going to be upset. :(
Next year, things will be more flexible, but like everything, 2007 is weighted down with the challenges that a new job brings.
(Note, the following links are a spoiler minefield for The Melancholy of Suzumiya Haruhi. I decided to look at the song collections and many of them directly reference some major plot points.)
More YouTube videos, but Yuki Nagato's song file is messed up (second one is spoilerish). Yeah, I actually LIKE one of the "quiet girls" in an anime series and Mikuru is the one I can't stand. There's a first. Eh, Yuki's cooler later on and ...
I have such a profound weakness for computer/artificial intelligence characters, which is what Yuki is. And she's a darn awesome one too.
To make matters worse, Itsuki sounds like Barney while singing! I'm sorry Kate, but that's too funny! Any of Ryoko's songs are particularly weird, with this one standing out (must I add, spoilers?).
