It's... I dunno. Stuff bugs me and it hurts

I've had an odd life. I should have died several dozen times in the past, but I'm still here. The side effect of that is my emotions aren't normal. I don't react the way people think I should.

To put it simply: Fandom hurts again.

It's hard to explain what's happened so far, but I'll try to put it in the bluntest terms: I cannot stand when people attack other people's fandoms, yet it goes on all around me and I can stop it. I've just learned to look the other way. But now it's coming close to home again...

The Toonami fans.

Oh how I've learned to keep my mouth shut about them, but now they're making me pissed. I don't get pissed very often, but my close RL friends often give a little piece of advice to people I meet: "Never, ever, EVER get Rachelle mad off at you. BAD THINGS HAPPEN!"

I'm normally a very relaxed and carefree person, but when people attack my family, there's a certain sense of honour I get, and after that, well, it's not worth talking about.

The problem lies in Fox's new show "Firefly". My father is enjoying this show. He loves it. Like myself, dad need escapism. It's how we get through the day. With X-Files gone, dad's only had reruns of Star Trek and my MST3K tapes.

Now the Toonami fans are attacking Firefly fans because Firefly is apparently a ripoff of Toonami/Anime show "Outlaw Star".

Want to bring reality crashing down one fan group, Toonami fans? Well, reality bites:

The oh so cool host segements you guys worship are nothing but a cheap, pale, CGed, ripoffs of Prisoners of Gravity!

Look at the Toonami's plot for crying aloud: Our hero Tom, a reluctant male robot, and Sara, his cynical female computer friend, are trapped in a satellite from which they host pirate broadcasts.

And PoG's plot: Our hero Rick, a reluctant male Canadian, and Nan-Cy, his cynical female computer friend, are trapped in a satellite from which they host pirate broadcasts.

Any questions? Leave my father's fandom alone or else I'll have to stir up the PoG fan community and that will not be pretty. AGR fans learned that the hard way

Maybe I'm just an overgrown fangirl of "the original comix and science fiction freak out". Maybe I have a serious problem. I dunno. It just bugs me.
