"AUDITORS MAIL FROM MARTINS !!!"
OMG! Lieutenant Colonel Aston Martins is emailing meeee!
I'm lame.
Speaking of lame, I went to Toronto today and bought a ton of FMA toys.
- One of the character trading figures, the ones by Amada Printing.
I gots Maes Hughes! There's funny story behind this. We found the figures at Chapters/Indigo/Whatever the bookstore is at the Eaton Centre (the two are one in the same, after all) and there were four on the shelf in the youth manga section. You can't tell which figures you're getting with this sets; it's random. We tried peeking at the boxes with no luck, then Jen randomly grabbed two off the shelf. Outside, going down an escalator, we ripped open the boxes. I wanted Maes Hughes, but got Riza Hawkeye and Jen wanted Hawkeye, but got Hughes. So we swapped them and all was happy.
- Complete set of the second capsule figure series.
Edward, Roy, Hughes, Scar, Envy and Winry. Some of these figures are going to new homes. Jen got Winry, Katers got Envy and Amanda is getting Edward. I'll probably keep the other three. Roy and Hughes totally kick butt and manga!Scar never fails to unnerve me.
- A trading art figure.
I gots Roy. Two Roys, actaully. One for me and one for the CCAC raffle back at school. Because Roy kicks much butt (again) and Roy was the only figure the Silver Snail had in stock.
BTW, that means that FMA and Prisoners of Gravity have offically CRASHED fandom-wise, if you know the history of PoG and the Silver Snail. It means nothing, but amuses me!
I also got some prezzies for people. I bought Katers a package of Photo Collection trading cards because she wanted the package... seriously. One of the cards was the picture of the main military crew, with Roy and Riza in the lower right corner and Havoc, Breda, Falman and Fuery in the upper left corner. AND KATIE GAVE IT TO MEEEE! *hugs card* And I got FMA keychains for Laura and Mike.
Remind me NEVER to go shopping in Toronto again. There's so many fandom things to buy and no money to do so. It's all fine and good to go shopping online, but when you're holding the actual product in your hand, it's a whole different story.
