I'm getting better!
And here's today's WTF? moment: "Shakespeare in the park disrupted by teens". Public art is cancelled due to violence and threats. Yay for enlightened post-modern society. I'm going to be sick again.
Anyways, I still burn out very quickly, but I have been getting outside and doing things. I was almost bedridden for the past few days because I had a serious reaction to somethin'.
Yesterday I managed to go shopping with Jen and mom for art and school supplies, which I was proud of. My strength still isn't what it was before the surgery. Yeah, I'm thinking of it as a surgery now after what mom said. I was fine when we got to the store, but in the checkout line I was feeling lightheaded and dizzy. I was barely aware of my surrounding in Staples. I felt like I was floating around, much like the main character in the movie "waydowntown", who flies around shopping malls and office buildings.
This morning I got back to work slugging papers. I only delivered to one apartment building, but my arm is very sore. The left one. Where they put in the IV. Exactly where I told them not to put it. Jerks.
The bruising has started to come out. I've got a large one that starts on the right side of my face and spreads to the front of my neck. I also have a large bruise on my left arm.
I've lost my sisters for the week. My aunt showed up this morning and asked if they wanted to babysit my cousin this week. Turns out my aunt's usual babysitter has had some complications with her pregnancy, so the babysitter is taking time off. So Katie and Jen are in Toronto for the week.
